Christina Hale Releases Second Television Ad, Highlighting Her Focus on Hoosiers’ Health Care
Indianapolis, IN – Christina Hale today released her second television ad of the general election. The 30-second spot highlights a key issue of Christina’s campaign: fighting to ensure every Hoosier family has access to affordable and high-quality health care. The ad draws on Christina’s personal experience as a single mother who, despite working multiple jobs, still could not afford health insurance for herself.
“As a young single mom, I worked hard at multiple jobs to support my son and me. And while I always made sure he had health insurance, I couldn’t afford it for myself -- no matter how many hours I worked,” said Christina Hale. “My story is similar to that of so many other families living in Indiana today. That’s why I’m running for Congress. Too many Hoosiers face those same stressful challenges when trying to access affordable coverage. And they’re tired of partisan politics and special interests getting in the way of their health care. People expect results. In Washington, I’ll fight to expand access to affordable health insurance by supporting a public option, protect people with pre-existing conditions, and lower the price of prescription drugs -- because I’ll never forget what’s at stake.”
Hale’s campaign in IN-05 is one of the top pickup opportunities for Democrats nationally. National Journal recently listed the district as the 8th-most likely to flip in November. This ranking follows ratings changes from Cook Political Report and Sabato’s Crystal Ball, with both nonpartisan election forecasters moving the race to “Toss Up.” In another sign of the campaign’s growing momentum, recent polls have Hale leading her opponent by 5 and 7 percentage points.
