Christina Hale Raises $1.7 million in Q3, Marking Best Fundraising Quarter of Campaign

Indianapolis, IN – Christina Hale today announced the best fundraising quarter of her campaign, raising more than $1.7 million in the third quarter of 2020. Over the course of the cycle, Hale’s campaign has received contributions from more than 14,000 unique donors, 89 percent of which were $100 or less.

“I’m proud to be running a campaign that’s powered by such incredible grassroots support,” said Christina Hale. “It’s clear that Hoosiers in the Fifth District are ready for a change -- they want a representative who will go to Washington, put partisanship aside, and get things done. And that’s exactly what I’ll do. In Congress, I’ll reach across the aisle to lower health care costs, protect people with pre-existing conditions, and secure the resources and support we need to keep our community and local economy strong.”

This strong fundraising quarter continues a wave of momentum for Hale. Hale’s campaign in IN-05 is ranked as one of the top pickup opportunities for Democrats nationally. National Journal listed the district as the 8th-most likely to flip in November. This ranking follows ratings changes from Inside Elections, Cook Political Report, and Sabato’s Crystal Ball, with all nonpartisan election forecasters moving the race to “Toss Up.” In another sign of the campaign’s growing momentum, recent polls have Hale leading her opponent by 5 and 7 percentage points.
